PhonetKor helps you practice Korean pronunciation. Set a target sentence, listen to the standard pronunciation, record yourself, get an instant score, and save sentences to review later. PhonetKor는 한국어 발음 연습을 돕습니다. 학습 문장을 설정하고, 표준 발음을 듣고, 직접 따라 말해 즉시 점수를 받고, 문장을 저장해 복습할 수 있습니다.

edit_note1. Set your target sentence1. 학습 문장 준비하기

There are two ways to create a Korean target sentence, using the tabs at the top of the home screen.

홈 화면 상단의 탭을 이용해 두 가지 방법으로 한국어 학습 문장을 만들 수 있습니다.

A. Translation Mode (enter your own language)A. 번역 모드 (모국어로 입력)

Type a word or phrase in your native language (L1), or tap the microphone inside the input box to speak it.모국어(L1)로 단어나 문장을 타이핑하거나, 입력창의 마이크 버튼을 눌러 말합니다.
Voice input uses your native language (not Korean) — supported for English, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Thai.음성 인식은 한국어가 아니라 선택한 모국어로 동작합니다 — 영어·스페인어·일본어·중국어·베트남어·인도네시아어·태국어 지원.
Tap the arrow button (→). PhonetKor translates your input into a natural Korean sentence and loads it as the practice target.번역 버튼(→)을 누르면 한국어 문장으로 번역되어 연습 카드로 표시됩니다.

B. Direct Practice (enter Korean)B. 직접 입력 모드 (한국어 입력)

Type Korean directly, or copy & paste a Korean sentence from anywhere (web, messages). It becomes your practice target immediately.한국어를 직접 입력하거나 웹·메시지 등에서 복사·붙여넣기 하면 바로 연습 대상이 됩니다.

Question intonation tip: Add a question mark (?) to the end of your sentence and the standard audio is read with a rising, question-like intonation (e.g. 어디예요?). Leave it out to hear a normal statement intonation. 의문문 억양 팁: 문장 끝에 물음표(?)를 붙이면 표준 발음이 끝을 올리는 의문문 억양으로 읽어집니다 (예: 어디예요?). 평서문으로 듣고 싶으면 물음표 없이 입력하세요.

volume_up2. Listen to the standard pronunciation2. 표준 발음 듣기

Tap the speaker button on the practice card to hear the standard Korean pronunciation.연습 카드의 스피커 버튼을 누르면 표준 한국어 발음을 들려줍니다.
It automatically repeats 1–5 times based on your Listening Repeat Count setting. Tap the speaker again to stop.설정한 듣기 반복 횟수(1~5회)만큼 자동 반복됩니다. 재생 중 버튼을 다시 누르면 멈춥니다.
Change the playback speed (0.75×–1.5×) in Settings to slow it down while learning.설정에서 재생 속도(0.75×~1.5×)를 조절해 천천히 들을 수 있습니다.

mic3. Record & get scored3. 녹음하고 채점받기

Tap the large microphone button at the bottom and say the sentence out loud. (The keyboard closes automatically so it won't cover the controls.)화면 하단의 큰 마이크 버튼을 눌러 직접 발음합니다. (녹음을 시작하면 키보드는 자동으로 닫힙니다.)
Tap again to stop. Your pronunciation is analyzed and you receive an accuracy score (0–100) on a circular gauge.다시 눌러 녹음을 멈추면 발음이 분석되어 정확도 점수(0~100)가 원형 게이지로 표시됩니다.
On the result screen, use Replay Your Recording to hear yourself, and Practice Again to re-record the same sentence.결과 화면에서 내 목소리 다시 듣기로 본인 발음을 확인하고, 다시 연습으로 같은 문장을 재녹음할 수 있습니다.

The score is a practice-support metric based on cloud speech assessment, not a clinical phonetic analysis. Use it to track improvement over time. 점수는 클라우드 음성 평가 기반의 학습 보조 지표이며 임상적 음성 분석은 아닙니다. 시간에 따른 향상도를 확인하는 용도로 활용하세요.

star4. Save sentences for review4. 문장 저장하고 복습하기

On the result screen (or from any sentence), tap the star (★) / Save button to add it to your personal practice library.결과 화면(또는 어느 문장에서나)에서 별(★) / 저장 버튼을 누르면 개인 연습 라이브러리에 추가됩니다.
Open your saved sentences anytime from the star icon in the top bar and re-practice them later.상단의 별 아이콘에서 저장한 문장을 언제든 열어 다시 연습할 수 있습니다.

Premium is available as a monthly or yearly subscription. When you reach the daily free limit, the mic is disabled and a prompt invites you to go Premium for unlimited practice.

Open Settings with the gear icon (⚙) at the top-right of the home screen. The panel is localized to your chosen language and contains:

홈 화면 우측 상단의 톱니바퀴(⚙) 아이콘으로 설정을 엽니다. 설정 화면은 선택한 언어로 현지화되어 제공되며, 다음 항목으로 구성됩니다.

TTS Playback SpeedTTS 재생 속도	0.75×, 1.0×, 1.25×, or 1.5×. Slower speeds help when learning a new sentence.0.75× / 1.0× / 1.25× / 1.5×. 새 문장을 익힐 때는 느린 속도가 도움이 됩니다.
Listening Repeat Count듣기 반복 횟수	How many times the audio repeats per tap: 1×–5× (default 1×). Saved and kept after restarting the app.스피커를 한 번 누를 때 반복 재생 횟수: 1×~5× (기본 1×). 앱을 재실행해도 유지됩니다.
Premium Subscription프리미엄 구독	Shows your current plan; opens the subscription page (monthly/yearly) with a Restore Purchases option.현재 등급 표시. 구독 페이지(월간/연간) 및 구매 복원 옵션으로 이동합니다.
AI Data PrivacyAI 데이터 처리 동의	Shows your consent status and lets you grant or revoke it. Audio goes to Microsoft Azure for scoring and translation text to OpenAI; data is used only to provide these features and not to train models.동의 상태를 표시하고 허용·철회할 수 있습니다. 음성은 채점을 위해 Microsoft Azure로, 번역 텍스트는 OpenAI로 전송되며, 기능 제공에만 사용되고 모델 학습에는 사용되지 않습니다.

system_update7. App updates7. 앱 업데이트

When you open the app, PhonetKor checks the store (Google Play / App Store) for the latest version. If a newer version is available, an update prompt appears — tap Update Now to go to the store, or Later to dismiss it.

앱을 실행하면 스토어(Google Play / App Store)의 최신 버전을 확인합니다. 새 버전이 있으면 업데이트 안내가 표시되며, 지금 업데이트로 스토어에 이동하거나 나중에로 닫을 수 있습니다.
