1. Data Collection & Usage
We collect minimal data strictly necessary for app functionality. None of this data is transmitted to our
servers.
- Voice Recordings: Stored strictly on your device's local storage. Not transmitted.
- Transcriptions (STT): Processed locally using on-device Speech-to-Text engines
(e.g., Google Speech Services on Android). Voice data may be processed by the OS-level engine but is
not sent to Voice Card developers.
2. App Permissions
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Essential for recording voice memos. Active ONLY when
you press the record button or use the widget.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used for reminders and etiquette mode alerts.
- Storage (READ/WRITE): Used for saving memos and exporting CSV files to your device.
3. Data Sovereignty & Deletion
You have 100% ownership of your data.
- Access: Only you can access your recordings via the app.
- Deletion: Deleting a memo in the app permanently deletes specific files.
- Uninstalling: Uninstalling the app permanently removes ALL local data (database,
audio files) associated with Voice Card. This action is irreversible.
